Title: Beyond the Deepwoods
By Paul Stewart and Chris Ridell

This book tells the story of Twig, an orphan dropped off by his father at a woodtroll village and goes on an adventure in the Deepwoods. He has many adventures while traveling in the Deepwoods such as meeting a banderbear, almost getting eaten by a carnivorous blood oak tree and many more exciting side-adventures. If you like fantasies, adventures and monsters, you would love this book. At the climax Twig finds his lost father, the skypirate “Cloud Wolf”. But the adventure doesn’t stop there. There are many other books in The Edge Chronicles. The next book in the series is “Stormchaser.”

Beyond the Deepwoods is a fantastic book and I hope many others have enjoyed is as much as I have. I think this book has a great sense of place and the feel of adventure is very compelling along with its host of unique characters and fantastic drawings. I believe that some readers may be disturbed by some of the more…Disgusting pictures. (In my point of view they’re not THAT bad.) Other than that I have no other complaints.
This book is absolutely amazing. It has such good art and its one of the best books I’ve read in a while. I would give it a 8.5 out of 10.
